Always wanted to be a vendor, but never had time to make something?
Get your goods ready in time for the next D.I.Y. BAZAAR (coming up on March 17th).

Join us in the SUN (clear skies permitting) on Pac-Man Lawn on Friday afternoon, March 12th. Come anytime between 1:00 and 5:00 PM and bring all of your art/craft making supplies.

Do It Yourself means answer your own damn questions, live your own damn life…it means nobody falls off the conveyer belt.  It means you have to stand up and jump, and you to embrace the falling of life.  It means…survival….”

Come celebrate the installment of a radical zine library right in our own co-op, learn about how you can help organize, check out zines from, or donate to the library.  Discuss DIY ethic and learn about the co-op’s DIY kick this semester, with clips from the documentary by Michael W. Dean, “DIY or DIE: How to Survive as an Independent Artist” and facilitated discussion.  Refreshments! 7:00-9:00.

THURS OCT 22 –DIY Bazaar & 3rd Thursday

Come to the co-op on thursday for an awesome show and DIY Bazaar! Featuring Tayt Held & Friends (lc), Papa Noel (lc), and
Sweeping Exits (bicycle records).

DIY Bazaar starts at 6PM on Pacman Lawn.  We invite you to share your creativity by bartering, giving away, or selling your art, knowledge, or skills.  Ideas for starters: lead a workshop on your favorite activity, share your favorite waffle recipe, share arts and crafts, talk about a DIY project you are trying to start, distribute your zine, mix CDs, drawings, hugs, start a discussion about politics, laugh about it, share poetry.

WED OCT 28; DIY workshop, Sushi Party, 7pm

Learn how to make sushi, and join us for an awesome sushi-eating party! We will be making spicy tuna, salmon rolls, cucumber and avocado rolls, and maybe others too! Make sure to show up around 7 if you want to make sushi, as we will have limited supplies. $1.50-$2 per plate.

SUN NOV 8 – Screen Printing Workshop at 3pm

Learn to do-it-yourself at our screenprinting workshop! We will learn how to make stencils and how to use a silkscreen. Jumpstart some projects for November’s D.I.Y. Bazaar. Bring your own clothing, cloth or paper to print on. If you already have screenprinting supplies, masking tape, or an X-Acto knife please bring them as well. Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting some paint on.

THURS Nov 12 – Hoop Making Workshop, 6pm.

MAKE YOUR OWN HULA HOOP! Pre-register for the workshop by Nov. 2 with a $5-$10 donation and take your hoop home, OR just show up and make a hoop for the Coop! E-mail Alyssa at conley.ab@gmail.com to sign up or for more information.
